Quellarin, which means ?Castle? in Drow, is a graceful white manor of Ante-bellum design, complete with white columns. A tall, beautifully carved, wrought iron gate guards the entrance. From the gate winds a gently curving drive which is paved in crushed white oyster shells, some quarter mile in length.
The area immediately around the manor is landscaped with flowers, a mosaic tile fountain, a gazebo, flagstone walkways, gardens, more fountains and patios, a barbeque area, a maze, and many trees. The grounds themselves are a veritable delight to the eye, with a wide variety of flora, landscaped and designed to satisfy the Elven heart.
A small lake at the southeastern end of the property sports a small boathouse. There is an area for boats to enter the water and a gazebo there, as well. Near the center of the lake there is a fixed, floating wooden platform that is large enough for several people to party on, dotted with lawn chairs and tables. A dinghy is tied up at the dock.
There is a large glass greenhouse, a stable, paddock, horse pastures, a garage, and various other outbuildings. The extensive property is surrounded by a white limestone wall standing eight feet high. Atop those walls are embedded bits of sharp metal, glass, and a coil of superconductive wire that will deliver a lethal jolt of electricity if touched.
Other security measures are in place, everything that a couple of thieves with mechanical and magical means can devise, with the help of one technomage, Mer Harriss.
Below the land runs a series of small catacombs and tunnels that run all the way to Rhydin and join up with the catacomb system there. The tunnels lead to many places, some of which are as yet unexplored by Gem. The catacombs under the manor are a very dangerous place. It is unwise to tread there unprepared.
