With the new theater season almost upon us, I have updated the Shanachie Theater Calendar to include all the scheduled performances through the end of 2020 (subject to possible change).

With that said, we are looking for ideas and suggestions for the 2021 season. This is your chance to let us know what you'd like to see us do, so feel free to PM me with your thoughts. I can't promise we will be able to include everyone's suggestions, but I can promise we will take them all into consideration for possible future performances.

Also, the new Shanachie STARS season will be starting in September, as well. If you have a child character (PC or NPC) who you'd like to have participate in the program, please PM me with the character's name and age. (Please do the same if you would like to remove a character from the list, as well.) The pertinent information about the STARS program can be found here.

As always, thanks for reading and participating, and hope you all continue to enjoy our little corner of Rhy'Din! :)

Just a reminder that there's still time to audition for the 2020-2021 theater year!

I will be leaving the thread open for one more week before posting the new roll call, so if your character is planning on returning or trying out, please either post your intentions in the thread or PM me so they can be included for the upcoming theater year.

The auditions thread is located here: https://www.dragonsmark.com/red-dragon-inn/forum/index.php/topic,14256.0.html

Also, please note that the next scheduled production will be the ballet performing The Little Mermaid. This will be the last production using the 2019-2020 Roll Call. After that, all productions will be performed by the new company members.

Time is running out, so don't delay! And thanks to everyone who has auditioned thus far. You're all made of awesome. :)

Roll Call 2020-2021

The new Roll Call for the 2020-2021 theater year has been posted here.

AUDITIONS ARE NOW OFFICIALLY CLOSED. Thank you to everyone who posted! That said, if you lost track of time and still want to be part of the theater, simply drop me a PM or post your request, and we'll see if we can fit you in. (We do request at least some participation in the way of live RP or posts to remain an active member in the theater, but it is minimal.)

The first production of the new year will be the Theater Company's performance of Crazy For You, which runs from 9/28 to 10/10. We regularly post a list of upcoming shows on the Shanachie Theater Calendar, if you're interested in taking a peek. Rehearsals obviously take place prior to production, but we don't post the cast list until the show is scheduled to take place.

We followed the audition requests as much as possible, but don't hesitate to contact me if you think we missed something or if you have a question. Also note, we only listed PCs for the House Band, but you can assume the rest of the band is made up of NPCs.

Like last year, we decided to not only list the performers in the Roll Call, but also some of the people who run things behind the scenes, so that everyone knows who's who.

If anyone has any questions, concerns, or problems with the Roll Call or anything else concerning the theater, please do not hesitate to drop me a PM.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support of and participation in our little corner of Rhy'Din, and we hope you all have fun with it! :)

Hi, all! The Shanachie Theater has really grown over the years, so I thought I should take a moment to outline the various opportunities available for players.

Within the theater itself are the Repertory (Stage Plays), Theater (Musicals), and Ballet companies, along with the House Band, and various staff and crew members who work behind the scenes to keep things running. Auditions for the companies and band are held yearly in late summer. There's also a bar and a cafe, which are open to the public.

The theater also offers the following learning opportunities:

Shanachie STARS - A weekly performing arts program for children aged between six and sixteen, where they can learn to perform through singing, dancing, and acting under the tutelage of respected professionals within each field.

Rosita De Luca School of Performing Arts - The school is open to anyone over the age of sixteen who is interested in preparing for a career in the theater.

De Luca Dance Studio - Dance classes for all ages and levels, featuring ballet, jazz, and tap, along with Ballroom/Latin classes for adults.

Information is posted regarding all of these opportunities, but if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask, and thanks for reading! :)
