Shanachie STARS

[Doran Ilnaren]

Technically speaking, Doran hadn't been a student in the STARS program since the spring semester of 2018, after his seventeenth birthday. Still, he had learned much of the theater craft during his time with them, and wanted to give a little back. So whenever her could, he would help out the instructors.

Vocal tutor, on-demand acting partner, extra pair of hands, in-class babysitter for infants and toddlers (and occasionally for the students themselves).. whatever was needed, Doran was happy to help.

Order of Classes

The younger group starts with one hour of dance, followed by one hour of drama, and finishing with an hour of singing.

The elder group starts with drama, followed by singing, and finishing with dance.

There is a short break between the second and third hours for light snacks and drinks.

The semesters run concurrent with the school calendar, from September to June, with time off for school holidays. Students will occasionally be called upon to perform in productions at the Shanachie Theater, and depending on the theater schedule, there may be an additional show performed by STARS at the end of the school year.
