Pearl borrowed a costume for the festivities. She opted for ballerina flats instead of high heels.

Not much of a costume, but then, it's what's convenient for a Greenswarden. And it comes off as easily as it goes on. Fortunately, there's clothing underneath the layers of lichen, moss, vines and fungus coating his body. All of the plants are alive - and not all of them are inanimate. A phosphorescent algae in his tear ducts creates the glowing eyes, and branching giant lichen create the horns. Careful - some of those spores aren't harmless. The torc ends in blue crystalline balls inside a cage of metal, and is generally secured by a tangle of vines at his hip.

While Pearl played it straight as a fairy godmother, Velen took a different approach, wearing a sharp suit, black gloves, pencil-thing mustache, fedora... and delicate wings.

Yes, he was a fairy Godfather, and he'll grant you a wish you can't refuse.

"A Halloween party? Yeah, we gotta get you a costume..."

Nevermind the fact that Daniel didn't know hardly anything about this holiday, as there was no true analog in Carowyn. Quinten said he had him covered, however, and soon Daniel was decked out for the evening.

Lucy arrived late (and a bit more than fashionably) dressed as a classic witch!
