Fright Night (2017) - Costumes and More

[Mallory]

Mallory wasn't sure how long she'd be at Fright Night, whether she'd be crossing the River Styx for a quick bite or a lengthy stay, but she was determined to look good doing it! She arrived as Maleficent, and was accompanied by an illusory raven made of shadow itself, that still managed to scatter black feathers in its wake...

[Ed]

Ed & Goshen attended together. The former might not be entirely recognizable given the great lengths he went to for an authentic, feminine look, including the application of make-up and styling of hair.

[Goshen]

In keeping with the Roaring 20s theme, Goshen dressed in kind to match his date. Instead of going for the Mobster look, he took a softer, more refined approach. Amusingly, Goshen would tell anyone who might ask that he rather liked the outfit and would probably wear it again because he found the style attractive.

[Desdenova VonTombs]

Nile and Desdenova arrived as only the most awesome, epic alternative universe crossover ship ever:  



...It might have been a date.

[Orchid Evans]

Orchid greeted the event as a sexy police officer. Don't worry, the gun wasn't real--even if the handcuffs were...

[Eden]

Red Riding Hood arrived a few steps ahead of the Big Bad Wolf, her outfit a study in traditional reds, a silky hood and a much shorter skirt than grandmother would have ever approved of.

Whether Red remained in one piece as they slipped away after the party was anyone's guess.

[Ransom]

Hot on Red Riding Hood?s trail came the Big Bad Wolf. He was the sort of wolf grandmother had warned Red about, clad in denim and black leather, and with terrible, wicked things on his mind. The predatory gleam in his moon-pale eyes promised that even if she didn?t survive the night with all her assets intact, she would enjoy the experience of being caught.

[Mesteno]

In a grand departure from tradition (and potentially racially insensitive to elves who didn't fit the 'stuck-up' stereotype) Mesteno abandoned his usual sorry sheet with eye holes in favour of playing at Thranduil, Lord of Mirkwood. His usual red hair an illusory platinum blonde, and eyes a pale and piercing blue, he'd donned the shimmering silver robes and sculpted crown for the part. It was Fright Night however, and for the sake of the theme, there was as much illusion spent on the gorily realistic facial scar which appeared in a ripple at one moment and slipped the eye the next. Of course it would only take a few drinks and a little teasing at Lexius' expense for the regal facade to crumble.

[Traeline Helston]

Traeline decided to have some fun with her costume.

[Kane Darkwing]

Kane decided to have a little fun with his own costume, with some help.

[Shae Stormchild]

Having become a fan of the fictional librarian, Shae decided to impersonate Evelyn "Evy" O'Connell (n?e Carnahan) from The Mummy for this year's Fright Night. Armed with a golden book that may or may not be full of spells meant to repel the unwanted advances of the undead, she'll hit the docks with her partner in mummy wrangling ready for a spooky adventure.

[Elessaria]

The Empath knew little about all Hallow's Eve and its typical customs and even less about Fright Night.  She did know, however, some sort of costume was expected; so, as a Servant of the Light, she instead assumed the role of a Dark Angel (or at least her interpretation of one.)  Her raven coloured wings were quite realistic and she wore a mask as if that would truly hide her identity to any who knew the diminutive elfess.  Eless even crafted a special fragrance to reflect the occasion: seductively "dark" and containing quite a few night-blooming blossoms such as moonflowers, Japanese wisteria, tuberose, datura and the special roses from Danny's home.

[Emlen Slane]

Emlen dressed up in his best suit, though he didn't seem to like wearing that much on his torso. He went as James Bond! Fake gun and all!

He also attempted to carve a pumpkin with his chainsaw hands. It...didn't work out well. He brought it anyways. He says it's art.

[Sweet Expectations]

Rachel arrived as the iconic 'Bad' Sandy, replete with red heels, black attire, and lit cigarette smoking from her fingertips.

[Minoko Funaki]

Minoko accompanied her husband as Aki from You Only Live Twice. And yes, she encouraged Emlen's attempt at pumpkin art, even if it fell a bit short of expectations.
