The Man of My Dreams... Not!
Meet Bliss Cassidy Ferens. In her everyday life she?s an overworked, underpaid, underappreciated nurse at the Shady Knoll nursing home. Day in and day out she puts on her best smile and gives her residents her most cheerful attitude, but at the end she finds herself face planting on her couch, too tired to have a life at twenty five.
No boyfriend. Friends she barely sees. And even her cat seems to have given up on her.
The only place she managed to find peace was in her dreams where she was the crown princess of the kingdom Trelyra, where she was waited on hand and foot while lounging in beautiful gowns. She attended balls, was courted by handsome suitors, and had the whole world at her feet.
Then one day fantasy crashed with reality when Bliss literally ran into Ellisar of Rabard outside of a coffee shop and spilled her latte all over him! Except this version was just Ellis, and he wasn?t the doting prince she dreamt up. Since she couldn?t afford to replace his ruined jacket, he demanded that she be his maid until she?s paid it off!
If that wasn?t bad enough, she starts to see haunting similarities between the man in her dreams and the one right in front of her. What if he finds out what she?s pictured them doing together!?
Join Bliss as she untangles herself from a web where the line between dream and waking become blurred to discover true love? and passion.
Excerpt from chapter 4
Bliss stood with the fluffy towel at the ready as requested. Of all the things Ellis had asked her to do, this had to be one of the most humiliating. Standing there while he swam laps to have a fresh towel waiting for him when he got out. She hugged it tight against her chest and tried to keep the annoyance she was feeling off her face, because at any moment he was going to pull his face out of the water and catch her. Again. The second to last thing she wanted to be doing on this beautiful summer Saturday afternoon was to be catering to the whims of the biggest asshole the planet had ever seen. The very last thing was to get a verbal lashing for not being perfectly subservient.
She was so lost in her thoughts she just about missed him climbing up the ladder. He was halfway out when she noticed he wasn?t crawling down the lane any longer and it was the perfect time to see the way his muscles strained as he pulled himself up by the metal railings. The water dripping down his bare chest glistened in the afternoon sun. She followed a particular bead as it followed a course between chiseled pecs, down the torso until it veered off to trace the outline of his abs, then down that v-cut to his?
Her cheeks had to be flame red. She didn?t need the knowing smile and the look in his stupidly gorgeous green eyes to highlight her embarrassment any further. If only he knew she was thinking of that day with Ellisar at the pond when they almost kissed. They were identical in every way right down to that little freckle just below his navel. Only Ellis didn?t have the same warm, comforting glint in his eyes. He was a hungry wolf staring down his prey and she was locked into place by something very different from fear. The clench in the pit of her belly was similar only if she ignored the spreading warmth.
?Are you going to give it to me or not??
Torn from her thoughts Bliss starred agape into Ellis?s face without comprehension.
He ripped the towel from her grasp, and just like that the moment was over.
