Under Pressure:
A snapshot of how some RhyDinians react to what happens in their city.

RhyDin shops specializing in cookware for chefs, have recently stopped selling pressure cookers citing the various ways the product could be used in making bombs.

"I don't want to be taken to court cause some lunatic is using the product incorrectly." said Hugh McFraidycat.

Already, RhyDin's black market has seen a rise in desperate chefs buying up all the pressure cookers they can find.

"I need this appliance to make my famous Gnome Flambe! I would lose business if it wasn't on the menu anymore. I can't risk it." Chef Nidahl Hamiladi was quoted as saying as he prepared to leave an anonymous location with three pressure cookers.

Other chefs have recently joined Chef Hamiladi in the quest to buy up appliances that they need for their craft, out of fear that they too will ceased to be carried for fear how someone of an unstable nature would use them.

Items include:
Candy Makers
Certain styles of mixers
Salad spinners and food processors.

The list goes on. Let's hope this current round of over-reacting is short lived and people return to common sense soon.

The Danish Mafia. Baker's Wars.

Today, a baker's dozen of victims were found in a vat of cream filling. Reports indicate they all suffered mass head wounds inflicted by a rolling pin before being dropped in a hundred gallon vat of cream filling.

Witness statements say that in the early hours of Sunday morning, they saw a group of men going into Darby's Danish shop, and several noises being heard coming from the shop moments later.

Mr. Darby has yet to be located and is believed to be one of the men that was found in the cream filling.

This makes the third bakery shop in RhyDin to be hit in as many weeks.  Rumor in the Marketplace is, with all the recent competition in bakeries, there is one looking to eliminate them. Thus far, they remain rumors as no evidence can be found implicating any of the other bakery owners or operators.

We will do our best to track this story as it unfolds.

If Only They Had An Admiral Crunch Vendor

A RhyDin park in Seaside district has had a recent rash of boardwalk vendor thefts. No. Not a group of human thieves, but furry ones.

Squirrels and chipmunks are raiding boardwalk peanut vendor?s carts in a drug induced eating frenzy after becoming addicted to huffing gas fumes from discarded gas barrels from a nearby warehouse.

Now that the Christmas tree has been put on the burn pile and all the presents have been unwrapped, it's time to start thinking about the new year and what you would like it to be like.

Here at the Post we have some suggestions for those dreaded New Years resolutions we always make but somehow abandon by mid-Feburary.

Strange Weather Events Make For An Interesting Fruit Salad

Apples, peaches, melons and other various fruit, rained down on different parts of RhyDin City last night, breaking windows, denting automobiles, covering sidewalks and startling the residents of those areas.

RhyDin Meterologist Stormie Glassman explained that the fruit rain could be explained by sudden vortexes of air.
?There are consistent changes in the atmosphere all the time. With wind currents strong enough to lift objects into the air and dropping them miles away. Which is what has happened here.?

A mage from the Mage Institute of RhyDin or MIR, believes it could be the work of a talented mage.
?It?s a practical joke from a bored wizard!? he exclaimed as he scraped grapes off his front walkway. ?I wish I knew which one, I?d make him clean up this mess!?

Another citizen had a different opinion.
?The gods are angry with the outrageous, raunchy behavior of those in RhyDin and are showing their displeasure in this way.? Mrs. Holly Roller said. ?Sinners must repent and start offering proper tributes to the gods. Whoooooaaaaa..aaaaaahhh? The interview with Mrs. Roller had to be cut short, due to the monkeys that descended upon us to get the bananas that littered the area in front of the church.

Here at the RhyDin Post, where we were greeted with kiwi fruit all over the entrance walkway, have all vowed not to touch fruit again until everyone has gotten counseling for the horrible image of both a snot like substance getting on our very spiffy shoes and and that of a unidentified fanboy rolling naked in it while yelling "I'd rather wear fruit than live without Bane!"

November 28, 2011

Holiday season in RhyDin kicked off in high gear this past weekend, and along with the ringing of cash boxes came the sound of gunshots and screams of anguish as all shoppers jockeyed for deals in the Marketplace. Shop owners, in the wake of the business lost from an unruly pick-pocketing Gnome Ring earlier this year, attempted staunchly to lure in fearful customers that had since been chased away.

"We were trying to draw shoppers back into the Marketplace after those horrible creatures scared them all off." Mr. Levinstin of "Trinkets O Love" said of the various sales promotions. "It's been like a ghost town for a couple weeks now, and we've got mortgages to pay."

The Southern entrance to the Marketplace saw the most violent incident of the day as robbers ambushed a group of shoppers in an attempt to steal the purchases made by the group. The robbers quickly found themselves in over their heads as one of the shoppers turned out to be a mage with a short temper and a penchant for fire spells.  One of the robbers was reported as in critical condition at a local hospital.  His name is being withheld by Watch members until his family is notified.

Another incident towards the heart of the Marketplace involved a woman who went to extreme measures to ensure her ability to get to the deals being offered at one clothing shop. To gain a better place in line, the woman deployed a pepper spray device to blind those ahead of her, allowing her to cut the line and make off with the prized deal. The Watch is searching for her, but expressed doubts of being able to locate her.

Greetings Fellow RhyDianians!

Color Your City was a huge success thanks to all of you that came by for the wild ride! We hope you had as much fun as we did.

With that, the turning of the leaves and the slight chill in the air reminds us that the holiday season is quickly approaching. Soon, there will be pandemonium in the Marketplaces and the cash registers will be singing out a merry tune.

While we take a small break from keeping the economy in RhyDin running, we ask that you stop a moment and tell us what blessings you are counting.
