While I am not naive enough to think it hasn't been happening the entire time we've been open... recently the amount of.. well, I'll be blunt, the amount of cyber-sex being done in our public chat rooms has become... epidemic.

An incident was brought to my attention over the weekend that led to me seeing just how frequently it is going on.

And I am not talking about folks playing tonsil-hockey in the RDI or whatever. Yes, that can be annoying to watch.. and yes... if a host or other patrons ask you to tone it down, you should. What I am talking about here is "sex", played out in the chat rooms.

I am also not naive enough to think we can prevent it from happening at all, as hosts and admins, our 'reach' is limited. BUT, I am stating here and now, that if an incident is discovered or brought to our attention those involved will be facing at minimum a 3-day suspension of their account. Not just a single name, but every name that can be tied to that person.

I really don't care what consenting adults do in private. But there are two key factors there... adult, and private.

None of the chat rooms in our chat, be it RDI or Pharos or any setting we present in the future are considered "private".

And as far as the adult thing... at least one participant in some of the recent activities that were discovered was below the age of consent in all but maybe a few states.

This is the only "warning" folks are getting about this. (Not that I should have to warn in the first place.)

So, do all participants get sanctioned for this, or has it become another area where it's pick and chose who gets warnings and who doesn't?

I had a soft warning for something that was not descriptive at all but have heard of blatant sex scenes not being actioned?

I don't need details. I need assurances that this policy is being actioned fairly and evenly.

There is no picking and chosing. Anything that the Admin Team is aware of is investigated and you can rest assured that the site infraction guidelines are followed.

If anyone is aware of things that are happening in the public chat rooms that the Admin Team is not aware of when a Host in not on duty I encourage each and every player to please copy and paste the chat into a Contact Us form and send it in. Please include the room name, date, and time if you have it as that is helpful. This can be done annonymously.
